GAPS Shakes

GAPS shakes or smoothies are a simple but powerful cleansing tool to support your digestive and detox systems. They are packed with nutrients which help with cleasing of the liver. Adding fats like avocado, sour cream or MCT to the juice it helps to regulate the blood sugar response that can occur when consuming juices on their own.

  • 1.5 cups freshly squeezed cold pressed juice (use a small amount of fruit and lots of vegetables). Try carrot, celery, apple, beetroot & ginger for a great liver cleanse
  • Organic egg (make sure eggs are fresh & organic as they are consumed raw)
  • GAPS smoothies – 1/4 -1/2 avocado
  • GAPS milkshake – 1/4 cup 24 hour sour cream or 1-2 tablespoons MCT oil

Freshly squeeze juice using organic ingredients where possible.

Combine juice, 1 whole egg & avocado/sour cream/MCT oil

Using a blender blitz until smooth

Serve over ice for a delicious drink – best served on an empty stomach, either breakfast of in between meals
